Environmental Health Expert Joins HazTek

HAZTEK NAMES MARGARET “PEG” NEVILLE AS PRINCIPAL SAFETY CONSULTANT

Environmental health professional and leading expert in lead-safe work practices brings a breadth of experience and toxicological certifications to workplace safety training.

MEDFORD, N.J., June 1, 2016 — HazTek Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive safety management services, proudly announces the hiring of Margaret “Peg” Neville as Principal Safety Consultant.

m.nevilleNeville brings an extensive and diverse background as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Principal Lead Instructor, Floodplain Specialist, Mold Assessor, Senior Scientist, Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Trainer, Historic Compliance Auditor, Environmental Laboratory Instructor, and Senior Water Scientist for such agencies and institutions as FEMA, the NJ State Health Department, the Monmouth County Health Department, NOAA Sea Grant Consortium, Brinkerhoff Environmental Services, and Brookdale Community College. In addition, she was deployed, as a Medical Reserve Corps Member, to evacuation shelters during Hurricanes Irene and Sandy and has published articles on environmental and historic preservation.

Neville’s stellar reputation as an expert in lead extends to EPA Lead Safe Work Practices and training, OSHA Lead & Asbestos Awareness, lead inspections for commercial and public buildings, services in lead sampling (in soil, water, and dust), historic preservation specifications, risk assessment, and abatement. Neville is also recognized in the subject areas of water contamination analysis, potable water resource practices, floodplain protection, and wastewater and stormwater management.

Most recently, Neville had been employed by the National Asbestos & Environmental Training Institute, Inc. where she was responsible for professional education training in environmental technologies including asbestos, lead, mold, OSHA/PEOSH Compliance, PCB Training, and construction management. She also maintained her own business, Neville Environmental Solutions, LLC., where she taught job readiness skills in construction and lead-safe work practices.

Neville earned a bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Natural Sciences, Biology/Geosciences from Castleton University in Castleton, Vermont and holds multiple toxicological specialty certifications, including lead certificates (Neville is EPA federally licensed in multiple states and tribal lands). She is certified as an EPA Approved Trainer, teaching a broad range of courses including Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP), Asbestos Operations and Maintenance, OSHA Respiratory, Hazard Communication, Bloodborne Pathogens, Lead Abatement, Mold Awareness, Mold Operations and Maintenance, Confined Space, and Lockout/Tagout.
