HAZTEK PROUDLY ANNOUNCES RANDAL L. TIGERT AS PRINCIPAL SAFETY CONSULTANT

Accomplished, international safety expert brings diverse expertise and compelling methodologies to HazTek’s Gulf Coast operations

MEDFORD, NJ, June 8, 2016 — HazTek Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive safety management services, has recently named Randal L. Tigert as Principal Safety Consultant for its Gulf Coast Regional Office in Houston, Texas.

An expert in safety with over 39 years of experience, Tigert has traveled the world to provide hands-on training in more than 15 countries and has served as Certified Safety Manager and member of the Board of Directors for the World Safety Organization. His diverse experiences have taught him that to be successful in safety management you have to understand the culture of the location and connect with what inspires people

Prior to joining HazTek, Tigert had been employed by Jacobs Engineering in numerous safety management positions, including Director of Health, Safety & Environment, in their Pharma-Bio Business Unit, Modular Construction Facility, and Upstream Oil & Gas Business Unit.

Tigert began his career servicing equipment where he learned the trade from the ground up. He later developed his broad safety management expertise in oil & gas, industrial construction, maritime, ship building, infrastructure, and commercial construction industries for such companies as Sonat Offshore Drilling (now Transocean Offshore) and First Wave Marine.

Aside from his many accomplishments, Tigert is a gifted and inspiring public speaker who has been instrumental in creating the Safety Leadership Skills Workshop at HazTek. His mastery of using stories to illustrate the effects of safety issues, while being emotionally invested in the subject matter, has made his presentations so moving that Tigert has been known to bring his audiences to tears.

Originally from Texas, Tigert has lived in Oklahoma, Chicago, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Denver, St. Louis, and Calgary. His background at the University of Oklahoma as a Psychology major, with a minor in Management, has provided him with an understanding of company dynamics and an impetus to drill deeper to determine the best in safety practices.
